Removal Procedure

  1. Fold down rear seat back cushion.

  2. Object Number: 246242  Size: SH
  3. Remove the rear seat back cushion retaining clips.

  4. Object Number: 246243  Size: SH
  5. Remove the rear seat back hinge bolts.
  6. Disconnect rear seat back heating element wiring connection.
  7. Remove the rear seat back from vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear seat back to vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 246243  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the rear seat back hinge bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear set back hinge bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  5. Connect rear seat back heating element wiring connection.

  6. Object Number: 246242  Size: SH
  7. Install the rear seat back cushion retaining clips.
  8. Install the rear seat back to original position.
