Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 143164  Size: SH
  1. Remove the self-locking tabs to release sound insulator.
  2. Remove the instrument panel sound insulator.

  3. Remove the carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 349276  Size: SH
  5. Remove the lower center pillar trim finish panel by pulling rearward.

  6. Object Number: 246404  Size: SH
  7. Remove the hinge pillar trim finish panel screws.
  8. Remove the hinge pillar trim finish panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 246404  Size: SH
  1. Install the hinge pillar trim finish panel.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the hinge pillar trim finish panel screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the lower center pillar trim finish panel.
  6. Install the center pillar trim finish panel by snapping in place.

  7. Install the carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement .

  9. Install the instrument panel sound insulator.
  10. Install the self-locking tabs to release sound insulator.
