Removal Procedure
  1. Open the front door.

    2. Object Number: 243281 Size: SH
  2. Mark the position of the front door striker.
  3. Remove the front door striker screws.
  4. Remove the front door striker.
  5. Remove any spacers.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 243281 Size: SH
  1. Install any spacers that were removed.
  2. Install the front door striker to the match marks made before removal.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the front door striker screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the front door striker screws to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  4. Clean off the marks to the striker area.
  5. Adjust front door striker if necessary. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Striker Adjustment .
