Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the hood.

    2. Caution: Approved safety glasses and gloves should be worn when performing this procedure to reduce the chance of personal injury.

  2. Cut off the flat end of the primary hood latch/pilot pin.
  3. Remove the pin from the latch.

    4. Object Number: 163117 Size: SH
  4. Remove the secondary hood latch.
  5. Remove the secondary hood spring.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 163117 Size: SH
  1. Install the secondary hood latch.
  2. Install the secondary hood spring.
  3. Attach the hood latch and attach the spring with the pin.
  4. Flatten the end of the pin to retain in place.
  5. Lower the hood.
