  1. Disconnect the RH brake pad wear sensor connector.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Measure the voltage from terminal 2 of the RH brake pad wear sensor harness connector and terminal 3 of the RH brake pad wear sensor harness connector.

Does the voltage measure near the specified value?

12 V

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

3

Measure the resistance of the RH brake pad wear sensor. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Does the resistance measure less than the specified value?

0.5 ohms

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

4

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Measure the resistance from terminal 3 of the RH brake pad wear sensor harness connector and a good ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the resistance measure less than the specified value?

0.5 ohms

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 8

5

Inspect for poor connections at the gauge cluster connector. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.
