Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2001 🢒 Catera 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console 🢒 Radiator Surge Tank Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

    2. Object Number: 142125 Size: SH
  2. Remove the surge tank hoses from the surge tank.
  3. Remove the heater hoses from the surge tank.
  4. Remove the surge tank clip (1).
  5. Slide the surge tank (2) inward until the tabs disengage to remove from the wheelhouse panel.
  6. Disconnect the low coolant level switch connector (3) and remove the surge tank.
  7. Clean the surge tank using a mild soap and water if the surge tank is to be reused.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 142125 Size: SH
  1. Connect the low coolant level switch connector (3).
  2. Install the surge tank (2) to the wheelhouse panel.
  3. Install the surge tank clip (1).
  4. Install the heater hoses to the surge tank.
  5. Install the surge tank hoses.
  6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
