Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the
vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the rubber protective cover from the fog and cornering
lamp.
Caution: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly
could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal
injury:
• | Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing
the bulb. |
• | Leave the lamp switch OFF until the bulb change is complete. |
• | Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb. |
• | Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass. |
• | Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb. |
• | Properly dispose of the used bulb. |
• | Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children. |
- Separate the fog lamp bulb/socket
fastening tangs.
- Remove the fog lamp bulb/socket from the fog lamp.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog lamp bulb/socket.
Installation Procedure
- Connect the electrical connector to the fog lamp bulb/socket.
- Install the fog lamp bulb/socket to the fog lamp.
- Engage the retaining tangs to secure the fog lamp bulb/socket
to the fog lamp.
- Install the rubber protective
cover to the fog and cornering lamp.
- Lower the vehicle.
