Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 159409  Size: SH

    Caution: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:

       • Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing the bulb.
       • Leave the lamp switch OFF until the bulb change is complete.
       • Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
       • Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass.
       • Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb.
       • Properly dispose of the used bulb.
       • Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children.

  3. Remove the corning lamp socket from the fog and cornering lamp.
  4. Remove the wire harness from the loom on the fog and cornering lamp.

  6. Disconnect the electrical connections from the fog and cornering lamp.
  7. Release the fog lamp bulb/socket retaining tabs.
  8. Remove the fog lamp bulb/socket from the fog lamp.
  9. Remove the fog lamp screws from the fog lamp.
  10. Remove the fog/cornering lamp from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the fog/cornering lamp to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the fog lamp screws to the fog lamp.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fog lamp screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the fog lamp bulb/socket to the fog lamp.
  6. Engage the retaining tangs to secure the fog lamp bulb/socket.
  7. Connect the electrical connectors to the fog and cornering lamp.
  8. Install the wire harness to the loom on the fog and cornering lamp.

  10. Install the cornering lamp socket to the fog/cornering lamp.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
