The low beam and high beam relays are located in the convenience center behind the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber directly below the steering column.

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 351087  Size: SH
  1. Remove the self-locking screws from the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber.
  2. Slide the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber upward to release the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber from the tabs.
  3. Remove the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber.

  5. Remove the low beam relay (2), high beam relay LH (5), high beam relay RH (8) from the convenience center.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 351100  Size: SH
  1. Install the low beam (2), high beam relay LH (5), high beam relay RH  (8) to the convenience center.

  2. Object Number: 351087  Size: SH
  3. Slide the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber downward to secure the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber to the tabs to install the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the self-locking screws to the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the self-locking screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
