Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear compartment.

  2. Object Number: 163250  Size: SH
  3. Remove right access panel (3) if working on the right side.

  4. Object Number: 724084  Size: SH
  5. Remove the spare tire if working on the left side.

  6. Object Number: 724093  Size: SH
  7. Remove tail lamp bulb/socket from tail lamp by rotating counterclockwise.
  8. Disconnect the electrical harness from the tail lamp.
  9. Remove the tail lamp nuts from the tail lamp.

  10. Object Number: 724088  Size: SH
  11. Remove the tail lamp from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 724088  Size: SH
  1. Position the tail lamp to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the tail lamp nuts to the tail lamp.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the tail lamp bulb/socket into the tail lamp rotating clockwise.
  6. Connect the electrical harness to the tail lamp.

  7. Object Number: 724084  Size: SH
  8. Install the spare tire if working on left side.

  9. Object Number: 163250  Size: SH
  10. Install the right access panel (3) if working on right side.
  11. Close the rear compartment.
