Removal Procedure

    Caution: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:

       • Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing the bulb.
       • Leave the lamp switch OFF until the bulb change is complete.
       • Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
       • Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass.
       • Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb.
       • Properly dispose of the used bulb.
       • Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children.

  1. Open the hood.

  3. Remove the right and/or left air baffle.

  4. Object Number: 724060  Size: SH
  5. Remove the headlamp bezel. Refer to Headlamp Bezel Replacement .

  6. Object Number: 159425  Size: SH
  7. Remove the screws from headlamp capsule.

  8. Object Number: 159426  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the wire harness from the headlamp capsule. Disconnect the turn signal bulb socket from the headlamp capsule.

  10. Object Number: 724069  Size: SH
  11. Remove the headlamp capsule from the vehicle.

  12. Object Number: 724070  Size: SH
  13. Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp bulb.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 724070  Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector to the headlamp bulb.

  2. Object Number: 159426  Size: SH
  3. Install the turn signal bulb socket to the headlamp capsule.
  4. Connect the wire harness to the headlamp capsule.

  5. Install the headlamp capsule into the vehicle.

  6. Object Number: 159425  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the headlamp capsule screws to the headlamp capsule.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the headlamp capsule screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  9. Install the headlamp bezel. Refer to Headlamp Bezel Replacement .

  11. Install the right and/or left air baffle.
  12. Close the hood.
