Removal Procedure
- Remove the LH sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
- Remove the LF floor air outlet duct.
- Disconnect the supply vacuum hose (1) from the electric vacuum solenoid.
- Disconnect the recirculation actuator hose from the electric vacuum solenoid.
- Disconnect the electric vacuum solenoid electrical connector.
- Remove the recirculation actuator electric vacuum solenoid mounting screw.
- Remove the recirculation actuator electric vacuum solenoid.
Important: Note the vacuum hose routing for re-assembly.
Installation Procedure
- Position the recirculation actuator electric vacuum solenoid to the HVAC module.
- Install the recirculation actuator electric vacuum solenoid screw.
- Connect the supply vacuum hose to the electric vacuum solenoid.
- Connect the recirculation actuator hose to the electric vacuum solenoid.
- Connect the electric vacuum solenoid electrical connector.
- Install the LF floor air outlet.
- Install the LH sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).
