Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the LH sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  2. Object Number: 153147  Size: SH
  3. Remove the LF floor air outlet duct.

  4. Object Number: 705057  Size: SH

    Important: Note the vacuum hose routing for re-assembly.

  5. Disconnect the supply vacuum hose (1) from the electric vacuum solenoid.

  6. Object Number: 705069  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the recirculation actuator hose from the electric vacuum solenoid.
  8. Disconnect the electric vacuum solenoid electrical connector.
  9. Remove the recirculation actuator electric vacuum solenoid mounting screw.
  10. Remove the recirculation actuator electric vacuum solenoid.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 705069  Size: SH
  1. Position the recirculation actuator electric vacuum solenoid to the HVAC module.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the recirculation actuator electric vacuum solenoid screw.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  5. Connect the supply vacuum hose to the electric vacuum solenoid.
  6. Connect the recirculation actuator hose to the electric vacuum solenoid.
  7. Connect the electric vacuum solenoid electrical connector.

  9. Install the LF floor air outlet.
  10. Install the LH sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
