Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the left floor air outlet.
  3. Remove the left air temperature actuator cover (1).
  4. Remove the left air temperature actuator screws.

  5. Object Number: 153304  Size: MH
  6. Disconnect the left air temperature actuator electrical connector (3).
  7. Disconnect the left air temperature actuator from the linkage (2).
  8. Remove the left air temperature actuator (4).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 153304  Size: MH
  1. Install the left air temperature actuator (4).
  2. Connect the left air temperature actuator to the linkage (2).
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the left air temperature actuator screws.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  6. Connect the left air temperature actuator electrical connector (3).
  7. Install the left air temperature actuator cover (1).
  8. Install the left floor air outlet.
  9. Install the console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  10. Recalibrate the actuators. Refer to Re-Calibrating Actuators After Power Loss .
