Removal Procedure
- Remove the console. Refer to
Console Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
- Remove the right air temperature
actuator cover (1).
- Disconnect the right air temperature actuator electrical connector
(3).
- Remove the right temperature actuator screws.
- Disconnect the right air temperature actuator from the linkage
(2).
- Remove the right air temperature actuator.
Installation Procedure
- Install the right air
temperature actuator.
- Connect the right air temperature actuator to the linkage (2).
Important: The air temperature actuator linkage may need to be rotated to access
the screw holes for the following step.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the right
air temperature actuator screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).
- Connect the right air temperature actuator electrical connector
(3).
- Install the right air temperature actuator cover (1).
- Install the console. Refer to
Console Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
- Recalibrate the actuator. Refer to
Re-Calibrating Actuators After Power Loss
.
