J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 153211  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the A/C pressure sensor electrical connector.
  4. Important: Counterhold the A/C discharge hose using a wrench.

  5. Remove the A/C pressure sensor from the discharge hose.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 153211  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Important: Counterhold the A/C discharge hose using a wrench.

  1. Install the A/C pressure sensor to the A/C discharge hose:
  2. • Use new O-rings.
    • Lubricate the new O-rings using mineral oil, 525 viscosity.

    Tighten
    Tighten the sensor to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  3. Connect the A/C pressure sensor electrical connector.
  4. Leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A .
  5. Lower the vehicle.
