Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 142014  Size: SH
  1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle to catch excess fluid from the power steering reservoir.
  2. Siphon the fluid from the reservoir to prevent excessive spillage.
  3. Remove the reservoir inlet and outlet hose clamps.
  4. Remove the reservoir hoses from the reservoir.
  5. Remove the reservoir clamp bolt.
  6. Remove the reservoir.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the reservoir.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the reservoir clamp bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the reservoir clamp bolt to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  5. Install the reservoir inlet and outlet hoses to the reservoir.
  6. Install the reservoir hose clamps.
  7. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
