For 1990-2009 cars only
  1. Clean the leak area of the transmission case with a suitable solvent.
  2. Allow the leak area to air dry.
  3. Caution: The epoxy adhesive may cause skin irritations and eye damage. Read and follow all of the information on the container label as provided by the manufacturer.

  4. Mix a sufficient amount of GM P/N 1052533 epoxy cement or equivalent following manufacturer recommendations.
  5. Use a heat gun to warm the transmission case leak area.
  6. Apply the epoxy cement with a clean, dry soldering acid brush.
  7. Allow the epoxy cement to cure for three hours before starting engine.
  8. Repeat the fluid leak diagnosis procedures to determine if the leak is fixed.
