For 1990-2009 cars only
- Clean the leak area of the transmission case with a suitable solvent.
- Allow the leak area to air dry.
- Mix a sufficient amount of GM P/N 1052533 epoxy cement or equivalent following manufacturer recommendations.
- Use a heat gun to warm the transmission case leak area.
- Apply the epoxy cement with a clean, dry soldering acid brush.
- Allow the epoxy cement to cure for three hours before starting engine.
- Repeat the fluid leak diagnosis procedures to determine if the leak is fixed.
