Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 219629  Size: SH
  1. Remove the power brake booster vacuum hose (1) from the grommet in the booster.

  2. Object Number: 219643  Size: SH
  3. Remove the power brake booster vacuum hose from the clips (3).
  4. Remove the vacuum connectors (2) from the check valve.
  5. Remove the power brake booster vacuum hose nut (1) from the intake plenum.
  6. Remove the power brake booster vacuum hose.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power brake booster vacuum hose.

  2. Object Number: 219643  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the power brake booster vacuum hose nut (1) to the intake plenum.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the power brake booster vacuum hose nut (1) to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  5. Install the vacuum connectors (2) to the check valve.
  6. Install the power brake booster vacuum hose into the clips (3).

  8. Install the power brake booster vacuum hose (1) to the grommet in the booster.
