Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the passenger side I/P sound insulator panel.

  2. Object Number: 159648  Size: SH
  3. Remove the passenger side floor air outlet retainer (2).
  4. Remove the passenger side floor air outlet. Disconnect from air distributor and rotate the outlet side rearward.

  5. Object Number: 159697  Size: SH
  6. Remove the transmission control module nuts (2).
  7. Remove the transmission control module (1).
  8. • Pull module away from the studs.
    • Slide the module downward away from the upper clip.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 159697  Size: SH
  1. Install the transmission control module (1).
  2. • Slide the module upward into the upper clip.
    • Push the module onto the studs.

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the transmission control module nuts (2).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the transmission control module nuts (2) until fully seated.

  5. Install the passenger side floor air outlet. Rotate the outlet side forward into position and connect to the air distributor.

  7. Install the passenger side floor air outlet retainer (2).
  8. Install the passenger side I/P sound insulator panel.
  9. Important: It is recommended that transmission adaptive pressure (TAP) information be reset.

    Resetting the TAP values using a scan tool will erase all learned values in all cells. As a result, The ECM, PCM or TCM will need to relearn TAP values. Transmission performance may be affected as new TAP values are learned.

  10. Reset the TAP values. Refer to Adapt Function.
