Removal Procedure
Caution: To help avoid personal injury when a vehicle is on a hoist, provide
additional support for the vehicle at the opposite end from which components
are being removed. This will reduce the possibility of the vehicle falling
off the hoist.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft. The stabilizer shaft bushings can
be replaced without removing the stabilizer shaft from the vehicle underbody
after lowering the rear axle cradle. Refer to
Stabilizer Shaft Replacement
.
- Remove the bracket from
the stabilizer shaft.
- Remove the bushing from the stabilizer shaft.
Installation Procedure
- Install the bushing to
the stabilizer shaft.
- Install the bracket to the stabilizer shaft.
- Install the stabilizer shaft. Refer to
Stabilizer Shaft Replacement
.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Adjust the rear toe to specification if necessary. Refer to
Rear Toe Adjustment
in Tires and Wheels.
