Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 721444  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) vent valve electrical connector located in front of the fuel tank at the crossmember.
  4. Remove the vent hose.
  5. Remove the EVAP canister vent valve bolt.
  6. Remove the valve (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 721444  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the EVAP canister vent valve bolt.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the vent hose.
  4. Connect the electrical connector.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
