Removal Procedure
- Remove the front transmission oil pan. Refer to
Changing Fluid and Oil Filter
.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the solenoid valves (1, 2).
- Remove the solenoid valve retainer bolts and the retainer.
- Remove the force motor solenoid valve (3).
- Remove the torque converter clutch solenoid valve (4).
Installation Procedure
- Install the torque converter clutch solenoid valve (4).
- Install the force motor solenoid valve (3).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the solenoid valve retainer and the bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the solenoid valve retainer bolts to 10 N·m (87 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connectors to the solenoid valves (1, 2).
- Install the front transmission oil pan. Refer to
Changing Fluid and Oil Filter
.
Important: It is recommended that transmission adaptive pressure (TAP) information be reset.
Resetting the TAP values using a scan tool will erase all learned values in all cells. As a result, The ECM, PCM or TCM will
need to relearn TAP values. Transmission performance may be affected as new TAP values are learned.
- Reset the TAP values. Refer to
Transmission General Description
.
