Did you perform the Radio/Audio System Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Disconnect the radio connector.
  2. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
  3. Measure the voltage between terminal F1 of the radio connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

10-13 V

Go to Step 4

Locate and repair an open or high resistance condition in the battery feed circuit.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

  1. Measure the resistance between terminal E16 and a known good ground.
  2. Measure the resistance between terminal F5 and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance less than the specified value?

0.5 ohms

Go to Step 6

Locate and repair an open or high resistance condition in the radio ground circuit.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

  1. Replace the radio and perform the set up procedure.
  2. Install a scan tool.
  3. Select RADIO THEFT from the SPECIAL FUNCTIONS menu.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Did you complete the replacement?

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
  2. Verify that the radio operates properly.

Is the radio operating properly?
