Turn the ignition on.

Does the the low washer fluid indicator illuminate with the ignition on, engine off?

Inspect the low washer indicator lamp for an open and replace if necessary. Refer to Instrument Cluster Indicator Lamp Replacement .

  1. Disconnect windshield washer fluid level switch connector.
  2. Cycle the ignition switch off and on.

Is the low washer fluid indicator on?

Test and repair the low washer fluid indicator control circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the windshield washer fluid level switch. Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Level Switch Replacement .
