- Install the motor (4)
to the windshield wiper transmission (2).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the motor
bracket bolts (5) to the windshield wiper transmission.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
- Install the transmission lower link (3) to the windshield
wiper transmission.
- Install the wiper motor crank arm (6).
- Install the crank arm nut (7).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 14 N·m (10 lb ft).
- Install the windshield
wiper transmission with the motor.
- Install the transmission screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
- Install the upper link (1)
to the windshield wiper transmission.
- Connect the wiring harness connector to the windshield wiper motor.
- Attach the knock sensor and the fuel injection harness to the
engine lift bracket.
- Install the support bracket to the air inlet grille.
- Install the support bracket screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws until fully seated but not stripped.
- Install the power brake booster vacuum hose. Refer
to
Vacuum Brake Booster Hose Replacement
in Hydraulic Brakes.
- Install the air inlet grilles. Refer to
Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement
in Body Front End.
