Go to Symptoms - Wiper/Washer Systems

1. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor relay.
2. Connect a test light from the wiper motor position switch signal circuit terminal in the wiper motor relay harness connector to ground.
3. Turn the ignition switch on.
4. Turn the windshield wiper/washer switch to the low speed position.

Does the test light illuminate while the wiper arms are up?

Replace the windshield wiper motor relay K8.

Is the repair complete?

Test and repair the accessory voltage circuit to the wiper motor position switch for an open or high resistance. Refer to Testing for Continuity and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Go to Step  5

Replace the windshield wiper motor. Refer to Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement .
