Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the RF sound insulator.
  3. Remove the RF floor air outlet.
  4. Remove the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  5. Object Number: 153292  Size: SH
  6. Remove the side air vent supply duct. (Bend downward at the accordion section of the supply duct in order to remove the duct from the side air vent.)

  7. Object Number: 153293  Size: SH
  8. Remove the blower motor housing screws.
  9. Remove the blower motor housing.

  10. Object Number: 153294  Size: SH
  11. Remove the blower motor screws.
  12. Remove the blower motor from the blower motor housing.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 153294  Size: SH
  1. Install the blower motor to the blower motor housing.
  2. Install the blower motor screws until fully seated and not stripped.

  3. Object Number: 153293  Size: SH
  4. Install the blower motor housing.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the blower motor housing screws.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  8. Install the supply ducts:
  9. • Insert the supply duct into the module.
    • Bend at the accordion section to position.
  10. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  11. Install the RF floor air outlet.
  12. Install the RF sound insulator.
  13. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
