This brake master cylinder is a composite design (plastic reservoir and aluminum body). The brake master cylinder incorporates a conventional diagonal brake system split. The brake master cylinder reservoir on this vehicle is a one-piece plastic design. The brake master cylinder reservoir can be serviced separately from the brake master cylinder.

The brake master cylinder contains two separate pressure chambers in a single bore. The primary chamber provides the fluid pressure to the front disc brakes. The master cylinder secondary chamber provides the fluid pressure to the rear disc brakes. The dual system ensures partial braking in the event that hydraulic brake pressure is lost from either the primary or secondary system.
