Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 21396 Size: SH

    Caution: Gasoline or gasoline vapors are highly flammable. A fire could occur if an ignition source is present. Never drain or store gasoline or diesel fuel in an open container, due to the possibility of fire or explosion. Have a dry chemical (Class B) fire extinguisher nearby.

  1. Remove the intake plenum. Refer to Intake Plenum Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
  2. Disconnect the vacuum hose at the actuator.
  3. Remove the two switchover valve to plenum bolts.
  4. Remove the switchover valve from the intake plenum (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 21396 Size: SH
  1. Install the switchover valve to the intake plenum.
  2. Install the switchover valve to plenum bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  3. Connect the vacuum hose at the actuator.
  4. Install the intake plenum. Refer to Intake Plenum Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
