Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the outer finish panel from the front seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the seat memory module.
  4. The wiring harness is routed under the front seat cushion frame and secured by tie straps.

  5. Remove the memory module screw.
  6. Remove the seat memory module.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 246344  Size: SH
  1. Install the seat memory module.
  2. If you have replaced the memory module control, reprogram the control using a scan tool.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the seat memory module screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws until fully seated and not stripped.

  5. Connect the electrical connectors to the seat memory module.
  6. The wiring harness is routed under the front seat cushion frame. Use tie downs in order to secure the wiring harness to the seat frame.

  7. Install the outer finish panel to the front seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  8. Install the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  9. Reprogram the seat memory module, using the Tech 2. Select Programming on the Memory Seat menu. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  10. Calibrate the seat. Refer to Memory Seat Calibration .
