Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the passenger side I/P sound insulator panel.

  2. Object Number: 159648  Size: SH
  3. Remove the passenger side floor air outlet retainer (2).
  4. Remove the passenger side floor air outlet. Disconnect from air distributor and rotate outlet side rearward.

  5. Object Number: 159697  Size: SH
  6. Remove the transmission control module nuts (2).
  7. Remove the transmission control module (1).
  8. • Pull module away from studs.
    • slide module downward away from upper clip.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 159697  Size: SH
  1. Install the transmission control module (1).
  2. • Slide module upward into upper clip.
    • Push module onto studs.
  3. Install transmission control module nuts (2).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
    Tighten the transmission control module nuts (2) until fully seated and not stripped.

  5. Install the passenger side floor air outlet. Rotate the outlet side forward into position and connect to air distributor.

  7. Install the passenger side floor air outlet retainer (2).
  8. Install the passenger side I/P sound insulator panel.
