Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 153490  Size: SH
  1. Remove the center air deflectors.

  2. Object Number: 440946  Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws from the center air deflector housing.
  4. Remove the center air deflector housing.

  5. Object Number: 210357  Size: SH
  6. Rotate the steering wheel in order to expose the screw location on the upper steering column cover.
  7. Remove the screw cover and the screw from left side of the upper steering column cover.
  8. Rotate the steering wheel in order to expose the right side of the cover.
  9. Remove the screw cover and the screw from the right side of the upper steering column cover.
  10. Remove the upper column cover from the steering column.

  11. Object Number: 441148  Size: SH
  12. Remove the screw from upper column cover collar. This screw also retains the bottom of the instrument cluster.
  13. Remove the collar from the upper column.
  14. Remove the screw from the right side of the instrument cluster.

  15. Object Number: 245655  Size: SH
  16. Dislodge the right side of the instrument cluster.
  17. Remove the wiring harness connector (1) from right side of the cluster (2).
  18. Slide the cluster to the right sufficiently in order to allow the left side of the cluster to clear the left vent housing.
  19. Remove the wiring harness connector from the left side of the cluster.
  20. Gently remove the cluster from the mounting location.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 245655  Size: SH
  1. Install the cluster into the mounting position by inserting the left side of the cluster into the left vent housing.
  2. Install the wiring harness connector into the left side of the cluster.
  3. Install the wiring harness connector (1) to the cluster (2).
  4. Install the cluster in the carrier.

  5. Object Number: 441148  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the screw to the right side of the instrument cluster.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the screw until seated but not stripped.

  8. Install the collar to the upper column.
  9. Install the collar screw to the collar.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the collar screw until seated but not stripped.

  11. Install the upper column cover to the steering column.
  12. Rotate the steering wheel in order to expose the right side of the cover of the upper steering column.
  13. Install the right screw to the column cover.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the screw until seated but not stripped.

  15. Install the right screw cover to the upper steering column cover.
  16. Rotate the steering wheel in order to expose the left cover screw location.
  17. Install the left screw to the column cover.
  18. Tighten
    Tighten the screw until seated but not stripped.

  19. Install the left screw cover to the upper steering column cover.

  20. Object Number: 440946  Size: SH
  21. Install the center air deflector housing.
  22. Install the screws to the center air deflector housing.

  23. Object Number: 153490  Size: SH
  24. Install the center air deflectors.
  25. Reprogram the accessaries. Refer to Reprogramming Accessories After Battery Disconnect in Engine Electrical.
  26. Reprogram the instrument cluster. Using the scan tool, follow the instructions on the display screen.
  27. Verify the cluster operation.
