Did you perform the Exterior Lights Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Determine if the LH or RH turn indicator is inoperative.

Is the LH turn indicator inoperative?

--

Go to Step  7

Go to Step  3

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  2. Engage the turn signal switch so that the RH turn indicator is supposed to be on.
  3. Use a DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal 18 of instrument cluster connector and a known good ground.
  4. When the turn signal switch is engaged, the voltage on the circuit varies from 0 V to B+.

Does the voltage measure in the specified range?

0 V-B+

Go to Step  5

  1. Locate an open and/or a high resistance in CKT FU7.
  2. Repair the open and/or the high resistance in CKT  FU7.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step  9

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were previously disconnected.
  2. Replace the LH or the RH turn signal indicator lamp.

Do the LH and RH turn indicators operate properly?

--

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 9

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  2. Engage the turn signal switch so that the LH turn indicator is supposed to be on.
  3. Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal 6 of instrument cluster connector and a known good ground.
  4. When the turn signal switch is engaged, the voltage on the circuit varies from 0 V to B+.

Does the voltage measure in the specified range?

0 V-B+

Go to Step 5

  1. Locate an open and/or a high resistance in CKT FM13.
  2. Repair the open and/or the high resistance in CKT FM13.

Did you complete the repair?

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were previously disconnected.
  2. Verify that the LH and RH turn indicator operate properly.
