Did you perform the Interior Lights System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  2. Determine which front side door lock switch lamp is inoperative.

Is the LH front side door lock switch lamp inoperative?

--

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the RH front side door lock switch connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 3 of the RH front side door lock switch connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit AP807.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit AP807.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 13

Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 4 of the RH front side door lock switch connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit F12.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit F12.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 13

Replace the RH front side door lock switch. Refer to Door Lock Switch Replacement in Doors.

Is the replacement complete?

--

Go to Step 13

  1. Disconnect the LH front side door lock switch connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 3 of the LH front side door lock switch connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 10

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit AP807.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit AP807.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 13

Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 4 of the LH front side door lock switch connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 12

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit F12.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit F12.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the LH front side door lock switch. Refer to Door Lock Switch Replacement in Doors.

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
  2. Verify that the LH and RH front side door lock switch lamps operate properly.

Do the LH and RH front side door lock switch lamps operate properly?
