Did you perform the Diagnostic Interior Lights System Check?

  1. Turn on the ignition.
  2. Determine which sunshade illuminated mirror lamp is inoperative.

Is the LH sunshade illuminated mirror lamp inoperative?

--

Go to Step 8

  1. Disconnect the RH sunshade illuminated mirror lamp connector.
  2. Turn on the ignition.
  3. Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal B of the RH sunshade illuminated mirror lamp connector and a known good ground.

Does the voltage measure near the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in CKT AP1.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in CKT AP1.

Did you complete the repair?

--

Go to Step 13

Use the DMM in order to measure the resistance between terminal A of the RH sunshade illuminated mirror lamp connector and a known good ground.

Does the resistance measure less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 7

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in CKT F1.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in CKT F1.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 13

  1. Replace the LH sunshade illuminated mirror lamp.
  2. If the LH sunshade illuminated mirror lamp is not illuminated, replace the LH sunshade illuminated mirror.

Did you complete the repair?

  1. Disconnect the LH sunshade illuminated mirror lamp connector.
  2. Turn on the ignition.
  3. Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal B of the LH sunshade illuminated mirror lamp connector and a known good ground.

Does the voltage measure near the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 10

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in CKT AP3.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in CKT AP3.

Did you complete the repair?

Use the DMM in order to measure the resistance between terminal A of the LH sunshade illuminated mirror lamp connector and a known good ground.

Does the resistance measure less than the specified value?

5 ohms

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in CKT F3.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in CKT F3.

Did you complete the repair?

  1. Replace the LH sunshade illuminated mirror lamp.
  2. If the LH sunshade illuminated mirror lamp is not illuminated, replace the LH sunshade illuminated mirror.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were previously disconnected.
  2. Verify that the LH and RH sunshade illuminated mirror lamps operate properly.
