Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear window sunscreen. Refer to Rear Sunshade Replacement

  2. Object Number: 246043  Size: SH
  3. Remove rear window sunscreen flywheel bolt (3).
  4. Remove rear window sunscreen flywheel.
  5. Disconnect the sunscreen motor electrical connection.

  6. Object Number: 246044  Size: SH
  7. Remove three screws and rear window sunscreen motor from assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 246044  Size: SH
  1. Install the rear window sunscreen motor to the assembly.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install sunscreen motor screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the sunscreen motors screws until fully seated but DO NOT strip.

  5. Connect the sunnscreen motor electrical connection.
  6. Install rear window sunscreen flywheel by:
  7. 4.1. Turn sunscreen motor clockwise untill motor stops.
    4.2. Install sunscreen flywheel (2), it maybe necessary to turn the flywheel counter-clockwise until it egages on to the motor shaft (1).
  8. Install the sunscreen flywheel bolt.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the sunscreen flywheel bolt until fully seated but DO NOT strip.

  10. Install the rear window sunscreen. Refer to Rear Sunshade Replacement
