The fuel filler door has a actuator button located on the right side of the radio in the center of the I/P bezel. The fuel tank filler door actuator is located on the right rear inner wheel well behind the rear compartment stowage/CD player door.

1. Remove the rear compartment stowage/CD player door. Refer to Compartment Trim and Cargo Net Replacement - Rear



2. Remove the electrical connector from the fuel tank filler door actuator.
3. Remove the screws (2) from the fuel tank filler door actuator (1).
4. Remove the screws (4) from the fuel tank filler door actuator mounting plate (3).
5. Remove the fuel tank filler door actuator (1).

1. Install the fuel tank filler door actuator (1).
2. Adjust the fuel tank filler door actuator plunger until it aligns with the fuel filler door latch plate.
3. Install the screws (4) to the fuel tank filler actuator mounting plate.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

Tighten
Tighten the fuel tank filler door actuator mounting plate screws until fully seated. Do NOT strip the fuel tank filler door actuator mounting plate screws.

4. Install the screws (2) to the fuel tank filler door actuator (1).

Tighten
Tighten the fuel tank filler door actuator screws until fully seated. Do NOT strip the fuel tank filler door actuator screws.

5. Install the electrical connector to the fuel tank filler door actuator.
6. Install the rear compartment stowage/CD player door. Refer to Compartment Trim and Cargo Net Replacement - Rear
