Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the bolt from the driver and/or passenger seat retractor belt lower.

  3. Object Number: 168494  Size: MH
  4. Remove the bolts (2) & (3) from the front seat shoulder belt height adjuster (1).
  5. Remove the front seat shoulder belt height adjuster (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 168494  Size: MH
  1. Install the front seat shoulder belt height adjuster (1).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolts (2) & (3) to the front seat shoulder belt height adjuster (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat shoulder belt height adjuster bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in)

  5. Install the bolt to the driver and/or passenger seat retractor belt lower.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the driver and/or passenger seat retractor belt lower bolt to 35  N·m (26 lb ft).

  7. Install the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
