  1. Disconnect the forward/backward seat adjuster actuator motor connector.
  2. Use a DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal 1 and terminal 2 of the switch connector while pressing the forward and backward switch.
  3. Terminal 1 is B+ and terminal 2 is grounded if the backward switch is pressed.
  4. Terminal 2 is B+ and terminal 1 is grounded if the forward switch is pressed.

Does the voltage measure at the specified value?

B+

Replace the driver seat adjuster switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Replace the forward/backward seat adjuster actuator motor. Refer to Seat Adjuster Motor Replacement - Power .

  1. Reconnect all of the connectors and the components that were disconnected.
  2. Verify that the driver seat forward/backward seat adjuster actuator motor operates properly.

Does the driver seat forward/backward seat adjuster actuator motor operate properly?

  1. Disconnect the forward/backward seat adjuster actuator motor connector.
