Removal Procedure

The manual seat adjuster is used only on the front passenger seat.

  1. Remove the passenger front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement
  2. Remove front seat cushion outer finish panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement

  3. Object Number: 246366  Size: SH
  4. Remove seat adjuster bolts, operating handle and seat adjuster.
  5. Once the seat adjuster has been removed from the seat the operating handle will disengage from both seat adjusters.

  6. Remove the seat belt if replacing inner seat adjusters. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Pretensioner Replacement - LH or Seat Belt Side Buckle Pretensioner Replacement - Pass. in Seat Belts.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat belt if removed. Refer to Seat Belt Side Buckle Pretensioner Replacement - Pass. in Seat Belts.

  2. Object Number: 246366  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the seat adjuster, operating handle and seat adjuster bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the seat adjuster bolts to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

  5. Install the front seat cushion outer finish panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement
  6. Install the Passenger front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement
