Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  3. Remove the headlamp filler trim. Refer to Headlamp Filler Trim Replacement.
  4. Remove the front bumper guard. Refer to Front Bumper Guard Replacement
  5. Remove the front license plate bracket and/or cover. Refer to Front License Plate Bracket Replacement
  6. Disconnect the ambient air temperature sensor from the left front lower corner of the grille.
  7. Disconnect the main electrical connector (Located on the LH side of the front fascia.)
  8. Remove the three screws located in the center lower of the front fascia.
  9. Remove the screw from the lower front fenders.
  10. Remove the screws from the front fascia to fender in the following locations:
  11. • Remove the two screws located on the inner edge of the front fender.
    • Remove the one screw located at the lower corner of the front fender.
  12. Duplicate step 10 for the other side.
  13. Perform the following steps to remove the front fascia:
  14. 12.1. Put down a protective cover to prevent damage to the front fascia.
    12.2. Pull both corners of the front fascia away from the fenders and away from the retainers with the aid of a helper.
    12.3. Pull the front fascia away from the center of the front impact bar.
  15. Refer to Lighting Systems to remove the following lamps:
  16. • The fog lamps.
    • The cornering lamps.
    • The sidemarker lamps.
  17. Remove the following lamps from the electrical harness:
  18. • The fog lamps.
    • The cornering lamps.
    • The sidemarker lamps.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the following lamps to the electrical harness:
  2. • The fog lamps.
    • The cornering lamps.
    • The sidemarker lamps.
  3. Refer to Lighting Systems to install the following lamps:
  4. • The fog lamps.
    • The cornering lamps.
    • The sidemarker lamps.
  5. Fit both corners of the front fascia to the front fenders and to the retainers with the aid of a helper to install the front fascia.
  6. Install the screws to the front fascia to fender in the following locations:
  7. • Install the two screws located on the inner edge of the front fender.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    • Install the one screw located at the lower corner of the front fender.

    Tighten
    Tighten the front fascia to fender screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  8. Install the screw to the lower front fender.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the front fascia lower fender screw to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  10. Install the three screws located in the center lower front of the fascia.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the front fascia center lower screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  12. Connect the main electrical connector (Note that the main electrical connector for the front fascia is located on the left side of the fascia).
  13. • Connect the fog lamps.
    • Connect the cornering lamps.
    • Connect the sidemarker lamps.
  14. Connect the ambient air temperature sensor to the left front lower corner of the grille.
  15. Install the front license plate bracket and/or cover. Refer to Front License Plate Bracket Replacement
  16. Install the front bumper guard. Refer to Front Bumper Guard Replacement
  17. Install the headlamp filler trim. Refer to Headlamp Filler Trim Replacement.
  18. Install the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  19. Lower the vehicle.
