Was the RKE Diagnostic System Check performed?

Using the door lock switches located on the vehicle, manually operate the driver/passenger door locks.

Do the door locks operate properly?

Go to Step 3

Go to Power Door Lock Diagnosis

1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
2. Place the transmission in PARK.
3. Press the vehicle trunk release switch located on the vehicle.

Does the trunk lid release?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Release System Diagnosis

1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
2. Close the driver/passenger doors.
3. Place the transmitter within range (apprx. 10 ft.)
4. Press the transmitter LOCK button.

Do the driver/passenger doors lock?

-

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 9

1. Place the transmitter within range.
2. Press the transmitter UNLOCK button. (The first press unlocks the driver door; the second press unlocks the remaining doors.)

Do the all doors unlock?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 14

1. Place the transmitter within range.
2. Press the transmitter fuel door release button.

Does the fuel door release?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 14

1. Make sure the transmission is in PARK. (A/T).
2. Press the transmitter trunk lid release button.

Does the trunk lid release?

System OK

Go to Step 14

1. Synchronize the transmitter(s). Refer to Transmitter Synchronization.
2. Close the driver/passenger doors.
3. Press the transmitter LOCK button.

Do the driver/passenger doors lock?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 9

1. Program the transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Programming.
2. Close the driver/passenger doors.
3. Press the transmitter LOCK button.

Do the driver/passenger doors lock?

Go to Step 10

1. Using a known good transmitter, program the transmitter. Refer to Transmitter Programming.
2. Close the driver/passenger doors.
3. Press the transmitter LOCK button.

Do the driver/passenger doors lock?

Check the transmitter battery for the following conditions:

Was a problem found?

Replace the transmitter battery. Refer to Transmitter Battery Replacement.

Is the replacement complete?

1. Replace the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). Refer to Receiver Replacement.
2. Program the transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Programming.

Is the replacement complete?

1. Replace the transmitter.
2. Program the transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Replacement and Programming.

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 15

1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
2. Install or connect any components or connectors that were removed or disconnected.
3. Turn ON the ignition switch.
4. Clear all DTCs. Refer to Clearing DTCs.

Are all DTCs cleared?
