Did you perform the Instrument Cluster System Check?

  1. Disconnect the windshield washer solvent level switch connector.
  2. Turn ON the ignition switch.
  3. Use a DMM in order to measure the voltage at harness connector terminal B.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

B+

Go to Step 3

With the DMM set to the ohms scale, measure the resistance of the ground circuit (harness connector terminal A).

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Locate and repair an open in circuit XB3.

Did you find and repair a circuit problem?

Replace the windshield washer solvent level switch.

Is the replacement complete?

Locate and repair an open ground circuit.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the gauge cluster.

  1. Connect all connectors and components that you previously removed.
  2. Test the low windshield washer solvent level indicator.

Does the low windshield washer solvent level indicator operate properly?
