Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the outer finish panel from the front seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 246264 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the front seat memory module.

    4. The wiring harness (1) is routed under the front seat cushion frame and is secured by the straps (2).

  4. Unsnap and remove the inner finish panel from the front seat cushion.
  5. Remove the seatback panel. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement .
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector to the front seatback heating element and the seatback power recliner.
  7. Remove the electrical connector from the inflatable restraint front seat module, if equipped.

  8. Unroute the inflatable restraint electrical wiring from the front seat module, if equipped.

    9. Object Number: 246267 Size: SH
  9. Remove inner and outer clips from the front seatback.
  10. Remove the inner and outer bolts from the front seatback.
  11. Remove the front seatback from the front seat cushion.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the front seatback to the front seat cushion.

    2. Object Number: 246267 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the inner and outer bolts to the front seatback.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the inner and outer bolts to 45 N·m (35 lb ft).

  3. Install the inner and outer clips to the front seatback.

  4. Route the inflatable restraint electrical wiring to the front seat module, if equipped.
  5. Connect the inflatable restraint electrical connector to the front seat module, if equipped.
  6. Install the seatback panel. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement .
  7. Connect the electrical connectors to the front seatback heating element and the seatback power recliner.

  8. Install the inner finish panel to the front seat cushion and snap into place.

    9. Object Number: 246264 Size: SH
  9. Install the electrical connectors (1) to the front seat memory module.

    10. The wiring harness is routed under the front seat cushion frame. Install tie straps in order to prevent damage to the wiring harness.

  10. Install the outer finish panel to the front seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  11. Install the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
