Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 168509  Size: MH
  1. Remove the cover from the rear seat shoulder belt height adjuster.
  2. Remove the bolt from the rear seat shoulder belt height adjuster.
  3. Remove the upper rear quarter trim finish panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  4. Object Number: 168516  Size: MH
  5. Remove the bolts from the rear seat shoulder belt height adjuster.
  6. Remove the rear seat shoulder belt height adjuster.
  7. The rear seat shoulder belt height adjuster canbe removed without removing the seat belt retractor assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 168516  Size: MH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the rear seat shoulder belt height adjuster.
  2. Install the bolts to the rear seat shoulder belt height adjuster.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat shoulder belt height adjuster bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  4. Install the upper rear quarter trim finish panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  5. Object Number: 168509  Size: MH
  6. Install the cover to the rear seat shoulder belt height adjuster.
  7. Install the bolt to the rear shoulder belt height adjuster.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the rear shoulder belt height adjuster bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).
