Removal Procedures

    Object Number: 245922 Size: SH
  1. Release the rear seat center shoulder belt latch from the buckle.
  2. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.

    3. Object Number: 168509 Size: MH
  3. Remove the bolt cover from the rear seat shoulder belt height adjuster.

    4. Object Number: 168505 Size: MH
  4. Remove the rear seat belt with the retractor belt bolt.

    5. Object Number: 168509 Size: MH
  5. Remove the outer seat back cushion. Refer to Seat Back Cushion Replacement - Rear Outer in Seats.
  6. Remove the bolt from the rear seat belt retractor to the rear seat shoulder belt height adjuster.

    7. Object Number: 168513 Size: MH
  7. Remove the bolt from the rear seat belt retractor.
    8. • Pull the rear seat from the retractor half way out to remove the bolt.
    • When you service the seat belt retractors, don't remove the rear seat shoulder belt height adjuster.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 168513 Size: MH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the bolt to the rear seat belt retractor.

    2. Pull the rear seat belt out from the retractor to install the bolt.

    Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat belt retractor bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  2. Install the bolt to the rear seat belt retractor to the rear seat shoulder belt height adjuster.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat belt with retractor to the rear seat shoulder height adjuster bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  3. Install the outer seat back cushion. Refer to Seat Back Cushion Replacement - Rear Outer in Seats.

    4. Object Number: 168505 Size: MH
  4. Install the rear seat belt with the retractor bolt.

    5. Object Number: 168509 Size: MH
  5. Install the bolt cover to the rear seat shoulder belt height adjuster.
  6. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.

    7. Object Number: 245922 Size: SH
  7. Reconnect rear seat center shoulder belt latch to buckle.
