For 1990-2009 cars only
Disconnecting the battery or the connector from the heater and A/C control will not clear a DTC. A DTC can only be cleared in one of the following two ways:
| • | Using a scan tool. |
| • | The heater and A/C control will automatically clear a DTC if the malfunction has not occurred within 20 ignition cycles. |
Most all of the information in the diagnostic tables will refer to the scan tool for diagnostic support.
Clear any history DTC after a system malfunction is corrected in order to prevent future misdiagnosis.
