Replacement EBTCMs require programming of the EBTCM memory. Program the EBTCM if a new EBTCM is installed in a vehicle. The programming is performed with the scan tool. When ABS Programming is performed with the scan tool, the engine type and the transmission type are coded into the EBTCM memory. The EBTCM requires the engine and transmission coding for TCS operation.
The coding has not been programmed into the EBTCM.
