Removal Procedure

  1. Fold down the rear seatback cushion.

  2. Object Number: 246242  Size: SH
  3. Remove the retaining clips from the rear seatback cushion.

  4. Object Number: 246243  Size: SH
  5. Remove the hinge bolts from the rear seatback.
  6. Disconnect the wiring connection from the rear seatback heating element.
  7. Remove the rear seatback from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear seatback to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 246243  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the hinge bolts to the rear seatback.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the hinge bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  5. Connect the wiring connection to the rear seatback heating element.

  6. Object Number: 246242  Size: SH
  7. Install the retaining clips to the rear seatback cushion.
  8. Return the rear seatback to the original position.
