Power Windows Inoperative from Any Switch RH Front Wind Inop from RH SW

Go to Power Windows System Check .

  1. Close all the doors.
  2. Disconnect the RH front side door window regulator motor connector.
  3. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 1 of the RH front side door window regulator motor connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits A2 and/or A4.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit A2 and/or A4.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 13

Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 4 of the RH front side door window regulator motor connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 6

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit F11.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit F11.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 13

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 5 of the RH front side door window regulator motor connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 8

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit B2 or B5.
  2. Repair the open or a high resistance in circuit B2 or B5.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Press the RH front side door window switch UP button.
  2. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 2 of the RH front side door window regulator motor connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 10

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit RU6.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit RU6.
  3. If this circuit is OK, replace the RH front side door window switch. Refer to Console Switch Housing Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Is the repair or replacement complete?

  1. Press the RH front side door window switch DOWN button.
  2. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 3 of the RH front side door window regulator motor connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 12

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits PA1 and/or PA2.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits PA1 and/or PA2.
  3. If these circuits are OK, replace the RH front side door window switch. Refer to Console Switch Housing Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Is the repair or replacement complete?

  2. Disconnect the LH rear side door window regulator motor connector.
  3. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 1 of the LH rear side door window regulator motor connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits A1 and/or A21.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit A1 and/or A21.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 13

Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 4 of the LH rear side door window regulator motor connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 6

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit F1.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit F1.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Make sure that the rear window lockout switch is in the UNLOCK position.
  3. If the rear window lockout switch is in the LOCK position, the rear windows will not operate.
  4. Disconnect the LH rear side door window switch.
  5. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 7 of the LH rear side door window switch connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 8

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in the circuits M1 and/or M3
  2. Repair the open or a high resistance in circuits M1 and/or M3.
  3. If these circuits are OK, replace the LH front side door window switch. Refer to Console Switch Housing Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 13

  1. Connect the LH rear side door window switch.
  2. Press the LH rear side door window switch UP button.
  3. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 2 of the LH rear side door window regulator motor connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 10

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits RU1 and/or RU2.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits RU1 and/or RU2.
  3. If these circuits are OK, replace the LH rear side door window switch. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Switch Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair or replacement complete?

  1. Press the LH rear side door window switch DOWN button.
  2. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 3 of the LH rear side door window regulator motor connector and a known good ground.

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits A1 and/or A11.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit A1 and/or A11.

Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 4 of the RH rear side door window regulator motor connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit F1.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Make sure that the rear window lockout switch is in the UNLOCK position.
  3. If the rear window lockout switch is in the LOCK position, the rear windows will not operate.
  4. Disconnect the RH rear side door window switch.
  5. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 7 of the RH rear side door window switch connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 8

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in the circuits M1 and/or M4.
  2. Repair the open or a high resistance in circuits M1 and/or M4.
  3. If these circuits are OK, replace the LH front side door window switch. Refer to Console Switch Housing Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect the RH rear side door window switch.
  2. Press the RH rear side door window switch UP button.
  3. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 2 of the RH rear side door window regulator motor connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits RU1 and/or RU2.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits RU1 and/or RU2.
  3. If these circuits are OK, replace the RH rear side door window switch. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Switch Replacement in Doors.

Is the repair or replacement complete?

  2. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 3 of the RH front side door window regulator motor connector and a known good ground.

  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit PA4 or PA2.
